Vietnam – A Hmong craft
When we were in Ha Giang, we wanted to know how Hmong people get their splendid outfits. They weave it themselves, everything is done manually. From a long tradition and way of life, the Hmongs used to make beautiful garments from scratch…well, at least from flax.
We met (Chi) Thi Mai, she created the Linen Co-operative in Lung Tam Village which are sustaining and preserving their heritage.
Unfortunatly, we encountered sound issues, and the interview was unusable…
Nevertheless, we have the footage, so we decided to edit them to honour their kindness and to show you the process of this ethnic culture.
How can we purchase the items and help support these women?
For now, you have to go visit them in Ha giang, Vietnam…it’s a perfect way to enjoy and supporting them !
Where can I find their clothes and hand craft items to buy, a website or anything? Thank you 🙏
Hi ! Unfortunately, they don’t have any proper website (looks like it’s under construction: https://lung-tam-linen-cooperative.business.site/)…
I guess you have to visit them if you want some of their product 🙂
